JOB SUMMARY:
A high energy self-motivated dental sales professional to manage our territory to sell capital dental/imaging equipment through distribution to dentists, community health care centers, schools, federal, state and local government and retail establishments.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Calls on distribution customers and develops dealer relationships.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Studies data describing new products to develop sales approach.
  • Compiles data on equipment and supplies preferred by customers.
  • Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers by phone.
  • Advises customers of equipment for given need based on technical knowledge of products.
  • Provides customers with advice in such areas as office layout, legal and insurance regulations, cost analysis, and collection methods to develop goodwill and promote sales.
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
  • Attends tradeshows
  • Actively supports and attends the Impact Design seminars in Versailles and off site locations
  • Responsible for uncovering, developing and closing sales with Strategic Account managers for customers identified under Midmark’ s corporate Accounts.

SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Performs ongoing business meetings with dealer customers
  • Attends Midmark’ s NSM and regional sales meetings
  • Follows the Carew sales principles
  • Is an active participant during dealer trainings in Versailles and in the field


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a College or University and 5 years related experience and/or training.
