Midmark continues to expand its better Careflow initiatives by providing real time locating services (RTLS) through it’s Traverse City, Michigan location. Formerly Versus Technology, the Midmark real-time locating system (RTLS) uses automated, accurate data to improve the experience between the patient and caregiver. Midmark RTLS technology optimizes time spent with each patient while increasing patient throughput, capacity and room utilization. Additionally the asset tracking and management effectively locates and manages equipment to focus on patient care, saving time and capital expenses.

JOB SUMMARY:
Formulates concepts, designs and produces art and copy layouts for corporate and marketing materials to be represented by visual communications media in both print and digital form such as: magazines, product collateral, promotional collateral, electronic media, direct mail, packaging, emails, electronic presentations and environmental design by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Under the direction of the manager, develops concepts and designs for projects requested by any level within the organization.
  • Prepares concepts and rough layouts according to brand brief and given instruction.
  • Formulates basic layout design concept and conducts research to select and secure suitable illustrative material, or conceives and assigns production of material and detail to artists and photographers.
  • Proofreads, reviews, and presents final layouts to supervisor for approval; suggests improvements as needed. Also prepares final files for print or distribution.
  • Conducts and maintains bidding process for the most cost effective and efficient production of printed and digital materials.
  • Responsible for entire printing process including press checks and color correction to ensure highest quality results by the appropriate deadline.
  • Provide image and brochure updates for the Mobile Point sales tool and the corporate Website.
  • Responsible for coordinating and directing photo/video shoots in conjunction with the Creative Services Supervisor.
  • Applies photo retouching, clipping paths, and color correction when necessary.

SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Develop contacts and work relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Proposes desired software and hardware upgrades to leadership for potential purchases. Obtain appropriate training on purchased items


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's Degree in graphic design required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in graphic design.
  • Proven success in developing projects from concept to completion.
  • Excellent computer skills, especially with current graphic and illustration software; MacOSX; Photoshop; InDesign; Illustrator; Bridge; Acrobat Professional; Microsoft Office Suite; SharePoint; Social Media applications; basic HTML and video knowledge is a plus.
  • Knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition is vital.
  • Artistic ability, creativity and an aptitude for learning new technology are essential.
  • Experience with photo shoots, print processes and production.
  • Possesses ability to generate innovative, cost effective concepts.
  • Quickly develop concepts and mockups to visualize new ideas in context.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet evolving deadlines.​
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present ideas verbally, visually and written.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Team player, self-motivated and goal oriented. Possesses the ability to take constructive feedback.
  • Interactive design skills, Illustration skills, basic HTML and video knowledge are a plus.
