The Implementation Project Manager role is primarily responsible for implementation of real time location system (RTLS) company products to customer environments.  This includes independently managing and coordinating all projects and creating all related deliverables including but not limited to: project initiation activities; scope management; project closure, and post project tracking.  The Implementation Project Manager must have a thorough understanding of the Midmark RTLS application portfolio and be comfortable helping customers to reach successful project completions with appropriate recommendations and best practices.  Must exercise good, discretionary judgment in carrying out the foregoing.
Implementation Management:
  • Leads and manages multiple customer implementations in parallel
    • Manages and coordinates project deliverables, documentation, configuration, testing and system turn up for Midmark RTLS customers.
    • Understands and prescribes recommended workflow integrations in line with project goals, to assist customers in recognizing those goals within system functionality.
  • Communicate highly technical topics to various technical and non-technical audiences, including customer clinical, non-clinical, and executive staff, as well as other project team members. The Implementation Project Manager will assist in onboarding new Implementation Project Managers and educational efforts for Project Managers, Midmark RTLS University attendees, and customers regarding understanding and implementing Advantages level software and best practices.
  • Works with fellow Project Management teammates regarding best practices, standardized functionality and documentation requirements to positively impact and grow the team responsible for implementations.
    • Reviews implementations for quality, accuracy, scope management and timeline management, and assists teammates in answering questions of approach and issues.
  • Maintains constant focus on quality and testing of implementations.
  • Works closely with Software Engineering, Customer Support and Clinical Solutions Consulting to coordinate project needs, or issues found within an implementation.
  • Provide support for existing implementations, including customer Change Order Requests.  The Implementation Project Manager will also provide onsite support for other Project Managers and their implementations if needed.
  • The Implementation Project Manager will ensure their own project documentation is accurate, thorough and placed in appropriate project documentation folders.  They will also ensure all Project Managers are also following these same standards and practices including lessons learned post project.


  • Be involved in continuous efforts within Professional Services for standardization around Project Management processes, industry standards, best practices, lessons learned and general improvements.
Clinical Workflow Understanding
  • Works closely with Product Management, Customer Support, Professional Services Manager, Clinical Solutions Consulting and Software Engineering to implement standardized, prescriptive workflow models for customer implementations. 
  • Consult with and advise Midmark RTLS customers on recommended usage and best practices of the software and hardware solution platform. The Implementation Project Manager will work side by side with Midmark RTLS Project Managers, Versus Implementation Teammates and Clinical Solutions Consultants in confirming possible functionality of the software and hardware solution platform in accordance with project Scope of Work (SOW), advising customers on how best to use, understand and implement into their own facility, and ultimately own their implementation post project go live.
Midmark RTLS Product Understanding
  • Understands and communicates information regarding both Midmark RTLS Software and Hardware solutions to customers, including assisting customers in showing the use of the system and working proactively to help customers recognize problems, and solutions to those problems.
  • Provide input to Professional Services best practices
  • Communicate Project Status on a regular basis for own projects
  • Provide reports as required
  • Maintain documentation for all projects
  • Comply with ISO 2000 Quality Manual

  • Four-year college degree (Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent work experience
    Project management experience (4 years), preferably in the area of healthcare technology processes and systems
    Customer support experience (4 years), preferably in the areas of electronic components, computer systems and software
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project and SharePoint
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize projects in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Strong analytical/conceptual skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems in the face of time pressure and resource constraints
  • Professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
