JOB SUMMARY:
Helps improve sales force efficiency and effectiveness by partnering with Sales, Finance, Marketing, and other functional areas to develop and implement both data driven and creative solutions.  The analyst is expected to provide reporting and analysis of sales and sales related data to others in their organization, including management.  In addition, this role will be responsible for leading and participating in sales related process improvements and project work.

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on key operational metrics to various internal users, including the Sales Operations Manager, Sales Management, and the Executive team using a variety of inputs.
  • Partner with field sales, cross-functional management, and peers to identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability through improved sales process efficiencies.
  • Manage or participate in assigned sales related projects with limited oversight.
  • Assist in the analysis of compensation plans and territory alignment and optimization.
  • Perform additional duties specified by the Sales Operations Manager on an ad-hoc basis.

SECONDARY DUTIES:
  • Ensure information and processes truly enable sales and fit with overall organizational goals.
  • Ensure optimal use of business intelligence tools and technology to drive efficiency.
  • Seek out learning opportunities in sales operations and best practices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required, Minimum two years Sales Operations, Finance, or analytics experience, preferably in a sales environment.

COMPETENCY/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • A high level of business acumen and comfort working in a cross-functional environment
  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills with ability to influence
  • Strong analytical capability with demonstrated adeptness at problem-solving and ability to not only view details but also understand big picture implications
  • Process oriented, proactive and customer-focused
  • Flexible, detail oriented, and able to quickly act under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and achieve project goals
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills required (Advanced Excel preferred)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools preferred (Hyperion Essbase experience a plus)
  • Experience with a CRM application preferred
